Struct SlabAllocator
pub struct SlabAllocator<Runtime>where
Runtime: IsRuntime,{ /* private fields */ }
Expand description
Manages slab allocations and updates over a parameterised buffer.
Create a new instance using SlabAllocator::new
.
Upon creation you will need to call SlabAllocator::get_buffer
or
SlabAllocator::commit
at least once before any data is written to the
internal buffer.
Implementations§
§impl SlabAllocator<WgpuRuntime>
impl SlabAllocator<WgpuRuntime>

pub fn device(&self) -> &Device
pub fn queue(&self) -> &Queue
§impl<R> SlabAllocator<R>where
R: IsRuntime,
impl<R> SlabAllocator<R>where
R: IsRuntime,
pub fn new( runtime: impl AsRef<R>, name: impl AsRef<str>, default_buffer_usages: <R as IsRuntime>::BufferUsages, ) -> SlabAllocator<R>
pub fn len(&self) -> usize
pub fn len(&self) -> usize
The length of the underlying buffer, in u32 slots.
This does not include data that has not yet been committed.
pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool
pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool
Whether the underlying buffer is empty.
This does not include data that has not yet been committed.
pub fn get_buffer(&self) -> Option<SlabBuffer<<R as IsRuntime>::Buffer>>
pub fn get_buffer(&self) -> Option<SlabBuffer<<R as IsRuntime>::Buffer>>
Return the internal buffer used by this slab, if it has been created.
pub fn new_array<T>(
&self,
values: impl IntoIterator<Item = T>,
) -> HybridArray<T>
pub fn new_array<T>( &self, values: impl IntoIterator<Item = T>, ) -> HybridArray<T>
Stage a contiguous array of new values that live on the GPU and CPU.
pub fn get_updated_source_ids(
&self,
) -> HashSet<SourceId, BuildHasherDefault<FxHasher>>
pub fn get_updated_source_ids( &self, ) -> HashSet<SourceId, BuildHasherDefault<FxHasher>>
Return the ids of all sources that require updating.
pub fn has_queued_updates(&self) -> bool
pub fn has_queued_updates(&self) -> bool
pub fn commit(&self) -> SlabBuffer<<R as IsRuntime>::Buffer>
pub fn commit(&self) -> SlabBuffer<<R as IsRuntime>::Buffer>
Perform upkeep on the slab, synchronizing changes to the internal buffer.
Changes made to Hybrid
and Gpu
values created by this slab are not committed
until this function has been called.
The internal buffer is not created until the first time this function is called.
Returns a SlabBuffer
wrapping the internal buffer that is currently in use by the allocator.
pub fn upkeep(&self) -> SlabBuffer<<R as IsRuntime>::Buffer>
commit
insteadpub fn defrag(&self)
pub fn defrag(&self)
Defragments the internal “recycle” buffer.
pub fn runtime(&self) -> &R

§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self
with the foreground set to
value
.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red()
and
green()
, which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg()
:
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.fg(Color::White);
Set foreground color to white using white()
.
use yansi::Paint;
painted.white();

fn bg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>

with the background set to

.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red()
and
on_green()
, which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg()
:
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.bg(Color::Red);
Set background color to red using on_red()
.
use yansi::Paint;
painted.on_red();

§fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling [Attribute
] value
.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold()
and
underline()
, which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr()
:
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);
Make text bold using using bold()
.
use yansi::Paint;
painted.bold();

§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi
[Quirk
] value
.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask()
and
wrap()
, which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk()
:
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);
Enable wrapping using wrap()
.
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();
§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting()
due to conflicts with Vec::clear()
.
The clear()
method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
resetting()
due to conflicts with Vec::clear()
.
The clear()
method will be removed in a future release.§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the [Condition
] value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted
only when both stdout
and stderr
are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
